The story of Zana - Russian Bigfoot who gives birth to
children from humans
In the 1880s, in Russia, a female creature similar to
Bigfoot was caught alive. He then lived in the midst of society and gave birth
to humans. This creature is named Zana and is still one of the puzzling puzzles
of cryptozoology.
This story originates from the Abkhazia region of Georgia, Russia, and is told by Dmitri Bayanov, a hominologist, in his book entitled "In the Footsteps of the Russian Snowman."
But, at least we know that Zana was really caught and eventually belonged to a nobleman named Edgi Genaba.
Zana's body shape is not like that of an ordinary human. He has a taller body and is filled with reddish-black hair that covers him from head to toe. He also has broad shoulders and muscular muscles. His skin is dark, and his toes and hands are longer and bigger than humans in general.
Zanna couldn't speak. For decades of living among humans, Zana has never been able to learn Abhkaz. He only makes complaining sounds and cries when he is sad or angry.
When he was first caught, the hunters gave him to the head of the Zaadan region, named DM Achba. Then Achba gave it to one of his employees named Chelokua. Chelokua then gave it to Edgi Genaba, who visited the area. Genaba chained Zana and took her to the village of Tkhina near the Mokva River, 78 kilometers from Sukhumi.
Once released, Zana never attempted to run away.
All the years Zana lived in the village, she didn't show any significant change in her face. His teeth are still complete, and his strength has not diminished. It can swim across the Mokva with ease, even when the water is rising and the current is strong.
Villagers also reported that Zana could easily lift a sack containing 80 kg of flour with ease. Because of that, Zana was finally trained to do human jobs such as grinding flour and looking for firewood.
Then, one day, an unexpected event occurred. Zanna is pregnant. Not a single man acknowledged being the party responsible.
That said, Zana gave birth to children from several different men. She gave birth to her children without anyone's help and always cleaned her newborn babies in a tub. As a result, all of these babies could not survive and died from being exposed to cold water.
So, when Zana went into labor again, concerned villagers took the baby away and raised it. Four babies were taken away by residents, two boys and two girls. These four children managed to live and grow like humans in general.
Indeed, these four children are said to have a slightly different physique from humans in general, but they have no difficulty adapting to other residents.
His eldest son is named Dzhanda, and his second son is named Khwit. His eldest daughter is named Kodzhanar, and his second daughter is named Gamasa. Khwit died in 1954. Their descendants are still alive and scattered throughout Abkhazia today.
Gamasa and Khwit are physically strong. but their appearance is already much different from Zana's. It seems that the physical appearance of his father is more dominant in both of them. Khwit died around the age of 65–70. He is referred to as someone who gets angry easily and often picks fights with other people. Even his right hand was crippled from one of those fights.

There were rumors circulating that Khwit and Gamasa's father was actually Edgi Genaba himself, but on census records, the two children were given the surname Sabekia. This rumor probably developed because Zana was buried in the Genaba family cemetery, and Zana's two children were also raised by Genaba's wife.
In September 1964, archaeologists VS Orelkin and Dmitri
Bayanov, who were intrigued by this mystery, attempted to rediscover Zana's
grave. But because all the descendants of the Genaba clan have died, no one can
pinpoint the exact location of Zana's grave. The archaeologists were only able
to find Khwit graves. Khwit's skull was then brought to Moscow for further
examination.
Anthropologist MA Kolodieva compared the Khwit skull with that of another man from Abkhazia and found a very significant difference in size. Look at this comparison photo below.
Although this story is well documented, there are still many questions that cannot be answered perfectly.
Does Zana come from the same species as humans?
If so, why could he have a different physique?
These questions still make Zana one of the most confusing
puzzles in the world of cryptozoology.
